Writing Poetry with Darlene Silva Soberano
In this class, we are shown precise and personal insights into how Darlene Silva Soberano edited a published poem entitled ‘My Father the Sky’.

Footscray Community Arts Centre (FCAC) presents a masterclass on poetry with Darlene Silva Soberano.
Darlene has had work published in Australian Poetry, Cordite Poetry Review and Peril Magazine, amongst other places.
They currently serve as a poetry editor for Voiceworks Magazine and are a recipient of a Hot Desk Fellowship from the Wheeler Centre.
In this class, we are shown precise and personal insights into how Darlene edited a published poem entitled ‘My Father the Sky’.
Through a series of close readings and snippets of critical analysis, we learn of Darlene’s poetic influences in the shaping of this poem and their writing more broadly.
This unique and insightful class is suitable for anyone wanting to enhance their writing practice.
