Phoebe Watson - Everyday
Freeplay is the world’s longest-running independent games festival, located in Melbourne, Australia.
Everyday is a short visual novel where players help the main protagonist, Abigail, make decisions on how to spend her day. Balancing work, school and relationships, Abigail struggles to get small tasks done. Everyday was created to help raise awareness for people who really struggle with mental health and can't seem to do small mundane tasks, such as getting out of bed and studying. It was designed to be an encouraging reminder that you can do it and not to be too hard on yourself along the way.
Phoebe Watson is a proud Yarrer Gunditj woman of the Maar Nation of South West Victoria. Growing up in Warrnambool she played video games all through her childhood whilst she learnt her heritage and cultural background from her father. Whilst working with the team at DragonBear Studios on their title Innchanted, Phoebe has found a passion for showcasing her culture in games. She is working hard to help create a game that is rich with Australian Aboriginal culture.
