What local act are you listening to at the moment?

" Simona Castricum ."

What local band or artist will you be wearing for Aus Music T-Shirt Day?

" Pinch Points ."

Where is your favourite local venue to see live music in Victoria?

"We have to be biased and say the Corner Hotel AND Northcote Social Club ! Both long standing Melbourne venues that hold a lot of memories.

We strive to deliver a mix of programming so we can support as many artists from as many genres as possible. With borders closed, we are looking forward to showcasing as many local acts as we can fit on the calendar and supporting the artists that make us the music capital of Australia."

What is it about the Victorian music scene that sets us apart from the rest of Australia?

"The Victorian music scene has a big heart and deep roots. There's a true sense of community and pride, and we have seen this clearly through 2020, from the bushfire benefit shows earlier this year (seems like 100 years ago!) to the way we have witnessed bands pull each other up and cheer each other on through lockdown."

How do you predict we'll enjoy music in the future?

"We will be busy! When we open up for shows, it's likely to be for smaller crowds, so heading to a few shows a weekend or even in a day may be the new norm.

Live streaming shows from venues will also be another big change, not only will it increase the audiences for artists, but also is a big step forward in creating accessible live music experiences for more people in our community."

This year, CG Live will be donating 10% of all T-Shirt sales from The Corner Hotel and Northcote Social Club to Support Act. You can check out all of CG Live's venues and upcoming shows on their website .
