What local act are you listening to at the moment?

" Bec Goring - she just put out a beautiful album."

What local band or artist will you be wearing for Aus Music T-Shirt Day?

" Camp Cope - bunch of legends."

Gordi is repping fellow Meloburne musicians Camp Cope for Aus Music T-Shirt Day

Where is your favourite local venue to see live music in Victoria?

"The Northcote Social Club . So many great names have graced its stage. It’s got that loud-sweaty-spilled-drinks vibe that I love about small band rooms."

What is it about the Victorian music scene that sets us apart from the rest of Australia?

"That there’s something for everyone, all the time. There are so many great live music venues - big and small.

The first genuine gig I played in Melbourne was at a tiny venue called Shebeen. A few years later I played at the Palais. On both occasions I was met with an audience of people that love music and that are there to absorb it all. People here know what its about."

Shebeen was a not for profit live music venue in Melbourne

How do you predict we'll enjoy music in the future?

"Exactly like we did before. We’ll look back on this period as a bizarre blip in our history where we had to play shows to half-full rooms because it wasn’t safe to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in the mosh pit.

It may take a bit of time, but before you know it you’ll be back in a crowded band room, wishing some guy hadn’t spilled their drink on your jacket."
