National Bird Week

National Bird Week 2021 will take place between Monday 18 October and Sunday 24 October.

It's National Bird Week which means we celebrate our feathered friends and marvel at their wonder.

The celebration of National Bird Week has its origins back in the early 1900s and continues strong today.

Below you'll find a number of ways to appreciate, learn about and even sketch our winged animals. You can even take part in the Australian Backyard Bird Count, and contribute to the cataloguing of the numbers of different species.

So keep your eyes on the skies and see just what makes Australian Birds so interesting!
