During this year’s Book Week celebrations, primary school students around Victoria attended a live reading of Parks Victoria’s brand-new picture storybook, Spectacular Splendid Swamps.

The webinar focused on the important role of storytelling in helping to protect shrinking habitats and endangered species.

Picture storybooks bring conservation issues to life for children, building their love of and connection to place.

Watch the webinar recording to hear from the story author, Jordan Charters, and illustrator, Tania Ennor, who discussed the creative process of picture storybook production and tips to help students craft their own nature-based stories.
