Nyoarman has played soccer since she was 15 years old living in Kenya. She didn't realise that soccer would become such an important part of her journey to Australia.

Nyoarman is originally from Africa but now lives in Australia. In this video from the Tuned In series, she tells her story of moving to Australia through her love of soccer.

"I started playing soccer in Kenya when I was 15 years old. I did not realise that soccer was going to be so important in my journey to Australia."

Now Nyoarman coaches a team of young women who have recently arrived in Australia. She believes she can help them adapt to Aussie life through playing sport.

The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY)  has been facilitating youth participation in sport for over 20 years. They work closely with sports clubs and organisations in Victoria, with the aim of creating a sector that is more accessible, inclusive and responsive to the needs of young people from diverse backgrounds.
